메틸화
화학 과학에서 methylation은 기질에 메틸기를 추가하거나 메틸기로 원자 또는 기가 치환 된 것을 의미합니다. 메틸화는 수소 원자를 대체하는보다 큰 탄소 사슬보다는 메틸기를 가진 알킬화의 한 형태이다. 이 용어는 화학, 생화학, 토양 과학 및 생물 과학에서 일반적으로 사용됩니다. 생물학적 시스템에서 메틸화는 효소에 의해 촉진된다. 그러한 메틸화는 중금속의 변형, 유전자 발현의 조절, 단백질 기능의 조절 및 RNA 프로세싱에 관여 할 수있다. 중금속의 메틸화는 또한 생물학적 시스템 외부에서도 발생할 수 있습니다. 조직 표본의 화학적 메틸화는 특정 조직 학적 얼룩을 감소시키는 하나의 방법이기도합니다.
