너트 팅은 회전하는 자이로 스코프, 행성 또는 총알과 같이 축 방향으로 대칭 인 객체의 회전 축에서 또는 메커니즘의 의도 된 동작으로 흔들리는 동작, 흔들리는 동작 또는 끄덕 거리는 동작입니다. 적절한 참조 프레임에서 두 번째 오일러 각도의 변화로 정의 할 수 있습니다. 몸 외부의 힘으로 인해 발생하지 않는 경우이를 자유 단절 (free nutation) 또는 오일러 단조 (Euler nutation)라고합니다. 순수한 계단은 회전축의 운동으로, 첫 번째 오일러 각은 일정합니다. 우주선 역학에서 세차 운동은 때로는 네이션 (nutation)이라고도합니다.
