전쟁의 맥락에서, 혐오 (perfidy)는 적들이 자신을 노출 시키면 한 약속이 선의로 그 약속을 깨뜨릴 의도로 행동 할 것을 약속하는 속임수의 한 형태입니다. Perfidy는 모든 당사자, 전투원 및 민간인의 이익을 위해 개발 된 보호 및 상호 구속을 저하 시킴에 따라 전쟁법을 위반하여 전쟁 범죄로 규정합니다. 실제로 전투원들은 경험상 군사적 이점을 얻기 위해 국제 법상 보호를 요구하는 적들이 자신의 적들이 학대하고 있다고 생각하거나 의심하게 만들 경우 보호 대상자와 사물을 존중하는 것이 어렵다는 것을 알게됩니다. Perfidy는 1974 년 8 월 12 일 제네바 협약 추가 의정서 제 37 조에 의거하여 구체적으로 금지되어있다. 제 37 조 - 혐오 행위 금지 1. 혐오에 대한 대처로 적을 죽이거나 상처 입히거나 붙잡는 것은 금지되어있다. 적대자가 자신감을 배제하려는 의도로 무력 충돌시 적용 가능한 국제법의 규칙에 따라 보호를받을 권리가 있거나 그를 배상 할 의무가 있다고 믿게하는 적의의 확신을 초청하는 행위는 혐의로 간주됩니다.
