간접적 인 또는 "재현적인"리얼리즘과는 대조적으로 직접적 또는 "순진한"리얼리즘에 대한 문제는 의식 경험의 본질에 대한 논쟁에서 지각과 마음 철학에서 비롯됩니다. 우리가 우리 주변에서 보는 세계가 실세계 그 자체인지 아니면 단순히 우리 뇌의 신경 과정에 의해 생성 된 그 세계의 내부 지각 사본인지에 대한 인식 론적 질문. 나이브 리얼리즘은 인식 론적 이원론으로도 알려진 간접적 인 또는 대표적인 리얼리즘, 우리의 의식적 경험이 실세계 자체가 아니라 내부 표현의 철학적 입장 인 반 가상 현실 리플리 세계. 간접 리얼리즘은 우리가 외부 세계를 실제와 같이 인식하지 못하고 인식 할 수 없지만 세상의 방식에 대한 우리의 생각과 해석만을 알고 있다는 자연 과학의 인식에 대한 인정 된 견해와 대체로 동일합니다. Representationalism은 심리학에서인지주의의 핵심 가정 중 하나이다. 표현 론적 현실 주의자는 지식이 항상 어떤 수단을 통해 있기 때문에 '직접 지식'이 일관된 개념이라는 것을 부정 할 것이다.
