혈청 형 또는 혈청 형은 한 종의 박테리아 또는 바이러스 내에서 또는 다른 개체의 면역 세포 중에서 뚜렷한 변이를 나타냅니다. 이러한 미생물, 바이러스 또는 세포는 세포 표면 항원에 따라 함께 분류되어 하위 종 수준으로 역학 분류 할 수 있습니다. 일반적인 항원을 포함하는 혈청 형군을 혈청 형 (serogroup)이라고합니다. 혈청 형 타이핑은 종종 종과 아종을 결정하는 데 필수적인 역할을합니다. 예를 들어 박테리아의 살모넬라 속은 Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium, S. enterica serovar Typhi 및 S. enterica serovar Dublin을 포함하여 4400 가지 이상의 혈청 형을 가지고 있다고 판단되었다. 콜레라를 일으키는 박테리아 종인 Vibrio cholerae는 세포 항원을 기준으로 200 가지 이상의 혈청 형을 가지고 있습니다. 그 중 2 명만 콜레라를 유발하는 강력한 장 독소를 생산하는 것으로 관찰되었습니다 (0 : 1 및 0 : 139).
