솔로몬 군도는 파푸아 뉴기니 동쪽과 바누아투 북서쪽에있는 오세아니아 섬에 28,400 평방 킬로미터에 달하는 수많은 섬으로 구성된 주권 국가입니다. 이 나라의 수도 호 니아 라 (Honiara)는 과달카날 섬에 위치하고 있습니다. 솔로몬 제도는 솔로몬 제도와 부겐빌 섬을 포함한 멜라네시아 제도의 집합 인 솔로몬 제도 군도와 혼동되어서는 안됩니다. 섬은 수천 년 동안 거주 해 왔습니다. 1568 년 스페인의 항해사 인 Álvaro de Mendaña는 처음으로 유럽을 방문하여 Islas Salomón이라는 이름을 붙였습니다. 1893 년에 영국은 영토 전역에 보호령을 제정했다. 2 차 세계 대전 중 솔로몬 군도 캠페인은 과달카날 전투에서와 같이 미국과 일본 제국 사이에 치열한 전투를 보았습니다. 영국 영토의 공식 명칭은 1975 년에 "영국 솔로몬 군도 보호국"에서 "솔로몬 군도"로 바뀌었다. 자치 정부는 1976 년에 성취되었다. 2 년 후 독립국이되었다.
