글루온
원자는 원자핵과 전자로 이루어져있고, 원자핵은 양성자와 중성자로 이루어져 있다. 양성자와 중성자는 6종류의 쿼크(quark) 중 3개의 쿼크가 모여 만들어지는데, 글루온은 바로 이 쿼크들을 엮어 놓는 힘인 강한상호작용을 전달하는 소립자(素粒子)이다.
