플로터 또는 lutther는지도 제작지도, 엔지니어링 프로젝트 및 그래픽과 같이 크기가 크고 정확한 고품질 도면을 인쇄 할 수 있도록 설계된 프린터입니다. 첫째, 벡터 도면 인쇄용으로 개발되었으며 현재 진화의 발전된 상태에 있으며 대형 형식의 사진 품질 이미지를 최대 3560 dpi 해상도로 인쇄 할 수 있습니다. 인쇄 플로터로 알려진 TIF, JPG, DWG, EPS 및 기타와 같은 기존 이미지 파일을 허용하는 특정 프로그램을 사용하여 기존 데스크톱 프린터와 달리 제공하지 않습니다. 이 프린터는 일반 용지, 인화지, 필름, 야채, 자체 접착 용지, 타포린 및 특수 천과 같은 다양한 용지를 사용할 수 있습니다. 그러한 기계로 일하는 선구자는 공학, 건축 및 회화 분야에서 일하고 미국을 만든 여행의 작은 기계를 가져온 사업가 인 Lino Strambi였습니다. 수년에 걸쳐 크기와 품질이 향상되었습니다. 동일한 목적, 즉 인쇄를위한 여러 브랜드가 있습니다.

Um plotter ou lutther é uma impressora destinada a imprimir desenhos em grandes dimensões, com elevada qualidade e rigor, como por exemplo mapas cartográficos, projectos de engenharia e grafismo. Primeiramente destinados a impressão de desenhos vetoriais, actualmente encontram-se em avançado estado de evolução, permitindo impressão de imagens em grande formato com qualidade fotográfica, chegando a 3560 dpi de resolução. Conhecidos como plotters de impressão, não dão saída como as impressoras desktop convencionais, utilizando programas específicos que aceitam arquivos convencionais de imagem como TIF, JPG, DWG, EPS e outros. Essas impressoras podem usar diversos suportes como papel comum, fotográfico, Pelicula, Vegetal, auto-adesivos, lonas e tecidos especiais. O pioneiro a trabalhar com uma máquina dessas foi o empresário Lino Strambi que atua no ramo de engenharia, arquitetura e pintura e trouxe uma pequena máquina de uma viagem que fez aos EUA. Com o passar dos anos aumentaram de tamanho e de qualidade. Existindo várias marcas para o mesmo fim, ou seja, impressão.
