글 랜드 또는 고환은 남성 생식 기관의 페니스 양쪽에 위치한 구조입니다. 샘은 테스토스테론 호르몬의 분비, 정자의 생산 및 남성에게 특정한 신체적 특징의 개발과 같은 작업을합니다. 음낭의 왼쪽과 오른쪽에 위치한 왼쪽과 오른쪽 두 개의 샘은 정자 덕트의 일부이며 많은 수의 혈관 구조물을 포함합니다. 음낭은 정자 기능 유지 측면에서 매우 중요한 특징입니다. 정자 세포는 온도 변화에 의해 악영향을 받고 최적의 기능을 수행하기 위해 체온보다 약 2도 낮은 환경에 있어야합니다. 그것이 신체에서 벗어나는 이유입니다. 몸통 내부의 열은 몸의 열보다 낮으며 추위에서 수축하여 열 손실을 방지합니다. 반대로, 그것은 과도한 열에 노출되는 정자 세포를 방지하기 위해 따뜻합니다. 고환은 거의 같은 크기이지만 구조적으로 왼쪽 고환의 왼쪽 아래에 위치하고 있습니다. 각 고환에는 작고 매우 구부러진 정자 덕트가 있습니다.

Er bezlerinin testosteron hormonu salgılanması, spermlerin üretilmesi ve erkeklere özgü bazı fiziksel özelliklerin gelişmesi gibi görevleri vardır. Skrotum içinde sağlı sollu yer alan iki er bezi, sperm kanallarının bir kısmı ve çok sayıda damar yapısı içeren bir yapıdır. Skrotumun sperm işlevlerini korumak açısından çok önemli bir özelliği vardır. Sperm hücreleri ısı değişikliklerinden olumsuz etkilenirler ve işlevlerini en iyi şekilde yerine getirebilmeleri için vücut ısısından yaklaşık 2 derece daha düşük bir ortamda bulunmaları gerekir. Torbanın vücut dışında bulunmasının nedeni budur. Torbanın içindeki ısı vücut ısısından daha düşüktür ve soğukta büzüşerek ısı kaybını önler. Sıcakta ise aksine sperm hücrelerinin aşırı ısıya maruz kalmalarını önlemek için gevşer. Testisler yaklaşık aynı büyüklükte olmalarına karşın yapısal olarak sol testis sağdakine göre biraz daha aşağıda yer alır. Her testis içinde küçük ve oldukça kıvrımlı sperm kanalcıkları bulunur.
