डिप्प्लियाईज्ला अर्थ समजला जातो की जननशास्त्रांमधील दुहेरी गुणसूत्र संच असणे. याचा अर्थ क्रोमोसोमल प्रजातीच्या दोन प्रती आढळतात. उदाहरणार्थ, गुणसूत्र 1, गुणसूख 2 आणि इतर गुणसूत्र 22 हे प्रत्येक बाबतीत दोन प्रतींमध्ये उपलब्ध आहेत. सेक्स क्रोमोसोममध्ये अपवाद असू शकतो, जे नंतर एका संयुगात गुणसूत्रांच्या वेगळ्या जोडीप्रमाणे होतात, उदाहरणार्थ एक्स गुणसूत्र आणि पुरुषांमध्ये Y गुणसूत्र. अनेक प्राणी आणि वनस्पती मध्ये डिप्लोइएय ही सामान्य स्थिती आहे. तथापि, अपवाद देखील आहेत, उदा निर्मिती पिढीमुळे.

Diploidie ist bei vielen Tieren und Pflanzen der übliche Zustand. Es gibt aber auch Ausnahmen, z. B. aufgrund von Generationszyklen.
