ऍसिड
अॅसिड एक रासायनिक पदार्थ आहे ज्यांचे पाण्यासारखा द्रावणे आंबट चव, निळा लिटमस लाल चालू करण्याची क्षमता, आणि ग्लायकोकॉल्टर तयार करण्यासाठी आधार आणि विशिष्ट धातूंसोबत प्रतिक्रिया देण्याची क्षमता आहे. ऍसिडचे अॅक्साउझ सोल्युशनमध्ये 7 पेक्षा कमी पीएच असतो. कमी पीएच म्हणजे उच्च आम्लता, आणि अशा प्रकारे समाधान मध्ये हायड्रोजन आयन उच्च प्रमाण असते. रसायनांचा किंवा आम्लची संपत्ती असणा-या पदार्थ अम्लीय असल्याचे सांगितले जाते. ऍसिडच्या सामान्य उदाहरणामध्ये हायड्रोक्लोरिक अॅसिड, अॅसेटीक ऍसिड, सल्फ्यूरिक ऍसिड आणि टारेटिक ऍसिड समाविष्ट होते. या उदाहरणांवरून असे दिसून आले आहे की, अॅसिड म्हणजे उपाय किंवा शुद्ध पदार्थ असू शकतात आणि ते पदार्थ, द्रव किंवा वायूमधून मिळू शकतात. मजबूत ऍसिडस् आणि काही कॉन्ट्रेस्ड कमिअल ऍसिड संक्षारक आहेत, परंतु कारबॉर्न आणि बोरिक अॅसिडसारख्या अपवाद आहेत. ऍसिडच्या तीन सामान्य परिभाषा आहेत: अरहेनियस व्याख्या, ब्रॉन्स्टेड-लौरी व्याख्या आणि लेविसची व्याख्या. अरहेनियस परिभाषेमध्ये ऍसिडचे पदार्थ ज्या हायड्रोजन आयनच्या प्रमाण वाढतात, किंवा अधिक अचूकपणे, हायड्रॉनियम आयन्स पाण्यामध्ये विसर्जित करतात तेव्हा वाढतात. ब्रॉन्स्टेड-लौरीची परिभाषा एक विस्तार आहे: एसिड एक पदार्थ आहे जो प्रोटॉन दाता म्हणून काम करू शकते.
