एका वनस्पतीच्या आत, ऍप्प्लास्ट हा प्लाज्माच्या झिल्लीच्या बाहेर असलेला मुक्त प्रसार स्थान आहे. त्यास कॅस्पॅरियन पट्टीद्वारे मुरुमांमध्ये अडथळा आणला जातो, वनस्पतींच्या पेशींमधील वायू-स्पॉट्स आणि वनस्पतींच्या छिद्रामुळे. संरचनात्मकपणे, एपप्लास्ट हे समीप सेलच्या भिंतींच्या भिंतीद्वारे आणि बाह्य स्थानांच्या कक्ष भिंतींच्या रचनेमुळे तयार होतात, ज्यामुळे सिंपलस्टाशी तुलना करता एक ऊतक-स्तर विभाग तयार होतो. अपोपालिकेच्या मार्गाने पाण्याच्या वाहतूकीस आणि विष्ठेमुळे ऊतक किंवा अवयव भरून निघतो. या प्रक्रियेस अपोप्लास्टिक वाहतूक म्हणून ओळखले जाते. ऍप्लोलास्ट हे सर्व वनस्पतीच्या पर्यावरणाशी संवाद साधण्यासाठी महत्वाचे आहे. ऍप्प्लास्टमध्ये मुख्य कार्बन स्रोत सोडवता येण्याआधी प्लाझ्मा झिमेच्या सेलच्या पेशीच्या पृष्ठभागामध्ये फरक पडतो आणि प्रकाशसंश्लेषण दरम्यान क्लोरोप्लास्टद्वारे त्याचा वापर केला जातो. मुळे मध्ये, आयन हे सिम्प्लास्टमध्ये विरघळण्यापूर्वी एपिरमिसच्या ऍप्प्लास्टमध्ये विरहित असतात किंवा काही प्रकरण विशिष्ट आयन चॅनेलद्वारे घेतात आणि वनस्पतींच्या उगवणारा प्रवाहाने ओढले जातात, जे ऍप्प्लास्टची सीमा आत पूर्णपणे पूर्ण होते.
