खरेदीदार म्हणजे अशी कोणतीही व्यक्ती जी काही प्रमाणात विचारात घेण्यासाठी परत मालमत्तेची खरेदी करते. जेव्हा कोणी एखाद्या विशिष्ट संपत्तीचे खरेदीदार म्हणून त्यांची भूमिका ओळखत नाही तेव्हा "खरेदीदार" हा शब्द नवीन अर्थ प्राप्त होतो: "विकत घेणारा" किंवा व्यापार करणारा हा एक व्यक्ती आहे जो एखाद्या बांधकाम, सरकारी किंवा संस्थेसाठी, विशेषत: पुनर्विक्रीसाठी वस्तू खरेदी करतो. उत्पादनाच्या व्यवस्थापनामध्ये, खरेदीदार हा एक घटक आहे जो उत्पादन प्राप्त करण्याचा निर्णय घेतो. एक खरेदीदार ची प्राथमिक जबाबदारी सर्वात कमी किमतीत सर्वोच्च दर्जाची वस्तू प्राप्त करणे आहे. हे सहसा संशोधनासाठी, बोलीसाठी प्रस्ताव विनंती, प्रस्ताव किंवा कोट्स आणि प्राप्त माहितीचे मूल्यांकन आवश्यक आहे.
