युरोपियन आर्थिक क्षेत्र
युरोपीयन इकॉनॉमिक एरियात युरोपियन फ्री ट्रेड असोसिएशनच्या तीन सदस्यीय सदस्य आणि युरोपियन युनियनच्या 28 सदस्यीय राज्यांतील 27 सदस्य आहेत, क्रोएशियाने सर्व ईईए देशांकडून त्याच्या मंजुरीला मंजुरी देण्यास मंजुरी देण्याबाबत तात्पुरती तरतूद केली आहे. 1 जानेवारी 1 99 4 रोजी युरोपियन कम्युनिटीशी करार केल्यानंतर त्याची स्थापना झाली. ईएफटीए-ईईएने युरोपियन युनियनचे सदस्य न घेता ईयूच्या अंतर्गत बाजारांत सहभागी होण्यास अनुमती दिली आहे. ते शेती आणि मत्स्यव्यवसायचे कायदे वगळता एका बाजाराशी संबंधित जवळजवळ सर्व ईयू कायद्यांचा अवलंब करतात. तथापि, ते औपचारिक निर्णय-आकार घेण्याच्या प्रक्रियेचा एक भाग म्हणून नवीन EEA संबंधित धोरणे आणि कायद्याची स्थापना प्रारंभिक टप्प्यामध्ये देखील योगदान आणि त्यांच्यावर प्रभाव टाकतात. याव्यतिरिक्त, स्वातंत्र्य आणि त्यांच्या स्वत: च्या अधिकाराने आंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्थांची थेट सदस्यता म्हणजे देश अनेक भागांमधे सहभागी होण्यास आणि 1 99 2 ची बासेल कन्व्हेन्शन म्हणून स्वाक्षरी करण्यास सक्षम आहेत, जी अनेक वर्षांनंतर ईयूने स्वीकारली आहे. एक ईएफटीए सदस्य, स्वित्झर्लंड, ईईएमध्ये सामील झाला नाही परंतु ईयूसमधील मुक्त व्यापाराच्या करारासह, द्विपक्षीय कराराची मालिका आहे.
