इंग्रजी मध्ये FANATICISM म्हणजे काय?

जादूटोणा एक श्रद्धा किंवा वर्तणूक आहे ज्यामध्ये अयोग्य उत्साह किंवा एक उपहास किंवा छंद याबद्दल उत्सुक उत्साह आहे. तत्त्वज्ञानी जॉर्ज संथायण यांनी कट्टरता परिभाषित केली की "आपण आपले ध्येय विसरला असताना आपल्या प्रयत्नांना नवे करणे"; विन्स्टन चर्चिलच्या मते, "एक कट्टरपंथी लोक स्वतःचे मत बदलू शकत नाहीत आणि विषय बदलणार नाही". एकतर वर्णनानुसार कट्टरपंथी अगदी कठोर मानदंड आणि उलट विचार किंवा मते साठी थोडे सहिष्णुता दाखवतो. क्रोएगल टॉक या आपल्या पुस्तकात नीळ पोस्टमन म्हणते की "सर्व धर्मांधांच्या समजुतींचे महत्त्व हे आहे की ते स्वत: ची पुष्टी करीत आहेत .... ते कट्टरपंथी आहेत कारण ते 'खोट' नाहीत, परंतु अशा प्रकारे व्यक्त केल्या आहेत ते कधीही खोटे बोलत नाहीत. " दिलेल्या विषयासाठी प्रचंड उत्साह असलेल्या एका पंक्तीचे वागणे कट्टर समाजाच्या प्रचलित सामाजिक नियमांच्या उल्लंघनामुळे कट्टरपंथींचे वागणे वेगळे आहे. जरी पंणाच्या आचरणाचा विचित्र किंवा विलक्षण समजला जाऊ शकतो, तरी अशा नियमांचे उल्लंघन होत नाही.
