एक इग्ट्रानट्रॉन हा 1 9 30 च्या दशकापासून नियंत्रित नियामक म्हणून वापरलेली गॅस-भरलेली ट्यूब आहे. वेस्टिंगहाऊसद्वारे काम करत असताना जोसेफ सलपियनने शोध घेतला, वेस्टिंगहाऊस हा मूळ निर्माता होता आणि "इग्नट्रीन" या नावाचा ट्रेडमार्क अधिकार होता.
