इंग्रजी मध्ये LUMINESCENCE म्हणजे काय?
लुमिनेसिसन्स
उष्णतेमुळे परिणाम होत नाही अशा पदार्थाने प्रकाश प्रकल्पाचे उत्सर्जन; त्यामुळे ते थंड शरीराच्या किरणोत्सर्षाचे एक रूप आहे. हे रासायनिक प्रतिक्रिया, विद्युत उर्जा, उप-आटोमिक गती किंवा क्रिस्टलवरील तणावामुळे होऊ शकते. हे उष्णतेचा अर्कपणापासून वेगळे करते, जे उष्णतेमुळे परिणामस्वरूप पदार्थाने निघणारे प्रकाश आहे. ऐतिहासिकदृष्ट्या, किरणोत्सर्गी "रेडिओ-लुमिनेन्सन्स" ची एक प्रकार म्हणून विचार करण्यात आली होती, तरीही ती वेगळी मानली जात असल्यामुळे ती विद्युतचुंबकीय विकिरणापेक्षा जास्त वेगळी आहे. एल्हार्ड विडेमॅन यांनी 1888 मध्ये 'लुमनीसन्स' या शब्दाची ओळख करून दिली. डायल, हात, माप आणि विमानचालन आणि नेव्हिगेशनच्या साधनांचे चिन्हे व चिन्हांना 'लुमिनेजिंग' म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणा-या प्रक्रियेमध्ये लिमिन्सेंन्ट सामग्रीसह चिकन केले जाते.
