मल्टी-मोड ऑप्टिकल फायबर
बहु-मोड ऑप्टिकल फाइबर हा ऑप्टिकल फायबरचा प्रकार आहे जो मुख्यत्वे कमी अंतरावरील संप्रेषणासाठी वापरला जातो, जसे की इमारतीमध्ये किंवा कॅम्पसवर. ठराविक मल्टीमिड लिंक्समध्ये सुमारे 600 मीटरच्या लिंक लांबीच्या 10 एमबीटी / एसचा डाटा दर 10 Gbit / s एवढा आहे - बहुतेक परिसर अनुप्रयोगांसाठी पुरेसा आहे.
