तेल रेती, तिरोहित रेती किंवा अधिक तांत्रिकदृष्ट्या बिटुमिनस रेडस्, एक प्रकारचे अपारंपरिक पेट्रोलियम ठेव आहेत तेल वाळू एकतर ढीग वाळू किंवा अंशतः एकत्रित वाळूचा खडक आहे ज्यामध्ये वाळू, चिकणमाती आणि पाणी असलेले एक नैसर्गिकरित्या मिश्रण असलेले मिश्रण आहे जे एका दाट आणि अत्यंत चिकट पेट्रोलियम पदार्थासह संतृप्त होते आणि तांत्रिकदृष्ट्या ते बिटुमन म्हणून ओळखले जाते. नैसर्गिक बिटुंबेन ठेवी अनेक देशांत आढळतात, परंतु विशेषतः कॅनडातील मोठ्या प्रमाणात आढळतात. कझाकिस्तान आणि रशियात इतर मोठ्या साठ्यांच्या जागा आहेत. तेल अंदाजे जगभरातील ठेव दोन ट्रिलियन बॅरल्सपेक्षा जास्त आहे; अंदाजपत्रकास अद्याप सापडलेले नाहीत अशा ठेवींचा समावेश आहे. बिटुमनच्या सिद्ध केलेल्या संरक्षित साठ्यामध्ये सुमारे 100 अब्ज बॅरल्स असतात आणि एकूण नैसर्गिक बिटम्युमन रिजर्वची संख्या 24 9 .67 जीबीबी मानली जाते, त्यापैकी 176.8 जीबीबीएल किंवा 70.8% कॅनडा मध्ये आहेत. ऑइल रेड्स रिजर्व अलीकडेच जगातील ऑइल रिजर्वचा भाग असल्याचे समजण्यात आले आहे, कारण तेलाच्या किमतीत वाढ होत आहे आणि नवीन तंत्रज्ञानामुळे नफा मिळवणे आणि प्रक्रिया करणे शक्य होते.
