पाळीव प्राणी प्रवास योजना म्हणजे अशी व्यवस्था जी निरनिराळ्या देशांतील देशांमध्ये सहजपणे प्रवास न करता प्राणी प्रवास करण्यास परवानगी देते. पाळीव प्राणी पासपोर्ट म्हणजे एक असा दस्तऐवज जो त्या विशिष्ट प्रक्रियेचा एक भाग म्हणून अधिकृतपणे विशिष्ट पशु संबंधित माहिती नोंदवतो. नियमांचे पालन केल्यास पूर्वीच्या प्रक्रियेच्या तुलनेत सदस्य देशांतील जनावरांच्या प्रवासासह जलद वाहतूक करणे आणि वाहतूक करणे याचा परिणाम असा होतो. इटलीतील इतर युरोपीय देशांतून प्रवेश करणा-या प्राण्यांच्या फायद्यासाठी पीईटीएस सुरू करण्यात आला होता, कारण ऐतिहासिकदृष्टया ब्रिटनमधील बर्याच जनावरांच्या आयातीसाठी 6 महिन्यांची संगनमत कालावधीसह रेबीजच्या संरक्षणासाठी अत्यंत मजबूत नियंत्रणे होती. 1 ऑक्टोबर 2001 रोजी अनेक युरोपियन देशांनी पीईटीएस योजना सुरू केली, ज्या अंतर्गत कोणत्याही सदस्य देशातील प्राणी स्वतंत्रपणे मान्यताप्राप्त वाहकांवरील दुसर्या सदस्याच्या देशाला जाऊ शकतात. कालांतराने ही योजना इतर देश जसे की युनायटेड स्टेट्स, कॅनडा, ऑस्ट्रेलिया आणि न्यूझीलंड येथे सुरु झाली आहे.
