परोपकार
पारितोषिक म्हणजे शास्त्रोक्त पद्धतीने "मानवीय जीवनाबद्दलचे प्रेम" या अर्थाने "मानवीय जीवनाचे काय आहे" या दोन्ही प्रकारचे उपकार आणि लाभधारकांच्या भागांवर काळजी, पौष्टिक, विकास आणि वाढीच्या अर्थाने. सर्वात आधुनिक आधुनिक परिभाषा "सार्वजनिक उपक्रमांसाठी आहे, सार्वजनिक जीवनासाठी, जीवनाची गुणवत्ता यावर केंद्रित" हे 20 व्या शतकात मूळ मानवतावादी परंपरेसह विकसित केलेले सामाजिक शास्त्रीय पैलू मेळ घालते आणि व्यापार व शासनाच्या आधारावर परोपकाराची भक्ती करते. परोपकाराची उदाहरणे सामान्यत: धर्मादायाच्या उदाहरणांसह ओव्हरलॅप होतात, परंतु सर्व धर्मादाय म्हणजे परोपकाराच्या किंवा उलट नसतात. सामान्यतः दिलेला फरक म्हणजे दान हे सामाजिक समस्या वेदना कमी करते, तर लोकोपचार त्यांच्या मूळ कारणांवर त्या समस्यांचे निराकरण करण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो. लोकोपचार करणार्या व्यक्तीला परोपकारी व्यक्ति असे म्हटले जाते.
