पीसा हे ट्य्रासिनियन समुद्रावर अरनो नदीच्या मुखाच्या उजवीकडे असलेल्या मध्य इटलीतील टस्कनी येथील शहर आहे. हे पीसा प्रांताचे राजधानी शहर आहे. जरी पिसाच्या धडधडीच्या टप्प्यासाठी जगभरात ओळखले जात असले तरी, 88,627 रहिवाशांमध्ये शहरातील 20 इतर ऐतिहासिक चर्च, अनेक राजवाडे आणि विविध पूल आहेत. इटालियन समुद्री प्रजासत्ताकांपैकी एक म्हणून शहराच्या बहुतेक वास्तूला त्याच्या इतिहासातून आर्थिक मदत देण्यात आली होती. पिसा विद्यापीठाचे हे शहर देखील आहे, ज्याचा इतिहास 12 व्या शतकाकडे परत जात आहे आणि इटलीमध्ये नेपोलियन स्कुओला नॉर्मले सुपरिओर डि पिसा आणि संत अण्णा स्कूल ऑफ अॅडव्हान्स्ड स्टडीज यांना सर्वोत्तम मान्यताप्राप्त ग्रॅज्युएट स्कूल म्हणून स्वीकृत केले आहे.
