रेडॉन एक रासायनिक घटक असून आरएन आणि अणुक्रमांक या नावाने ओळखला जातो. हा किरणोत्सर्गी रंगहीन, गंधरहित, चवदार उत्कृष्ट गाई आहे जो नैसर्गिकरीत्या युरेनियम किंवा थोरियमच्या अप्रत्यक्ष क्षयाच्या उत्पादनामुळे होतो. त्याचे सर्वात स्थिर समस्थानिके, 222 आरएन, चे अर्धे आयुष्य 3.8 दिवसांचे आहे.
