आरएच रक्त गट प्रणाली तीस-तीन चालू मानवी रक्त गट प्रणालींपैकी एक आहे. एबीओ नंतर हा सर्वात महत्त्वाचा रक्तगट आहे. सध्या, आरएच रक्त गट प्रणालीमध्ये 50 परिभाषित रक्त गटांचे ऍन्टीगेंन्स असतात, त्यापैकी पाच एन्टीजन डी, सी, सी, ई आणि ई हे सर्वात महत्वाचे आहेत. सामान्यतः वापरली जाणारी संज्ञा आरएच फॅक्टर, आरएच पॉझिटिव्ह आणि आरएच नेगेटिव्ह फक्त डी प्रतिजन पाहतात. रक्तातील रक्तसंक्रमणामध्ये त्याची भूमिका असण्याव्यतिरिक्त, आरएच रक्ताचे गट-विशेषतः डी ऍन्टीजन- हे नवजात पिशवीत रक्तस्राधी रोगाचे धोके निश्चित करण्यासाठी वापरला जातो कारण ही स्थितीचे व्यवस्थापन करण्यासाठी सर्वोत्तम उपाय आहे. गर्भस्थ तपासणीचा एक भाग म्हणून, गर्भस्थ रक्ताचा प्रकार शोधण्यासाठी रक्त चाचणीचा उपयोग केला जाऊ शकतो. जर आरआर एन्टीजेनची कमतरता असेल तर रक्त 'आरएच-नकारात्मक' असे म्हणतात. ऍटिजेन अस्तित्वात असल्यास, त्याला 'आरएच-पॉजिटिव्ह' म्हणतात. जेव्हा आई आरएच-नकारात्मक असते आणि वडील आरएच पॉझिटिव्ह असतात, तेव्हा आईला वडिलांचे आरएच फॅक्टर मिळू शकते. यामुळे गर्भ Rh-positive सुद्धा होतो. गर्भाच्या रक्ताचा आरएच फॅक्टर असतो आणि आईचा रक्त नसतो तेव्हा समस्या निर्माण होऊ शकते. आरएच-नकारात्मक असलेल्या आईला आरएच पॉझिटिव्ह बाळाला प्रतिपिंडे विकसित करता येतात.
