अकबर अगुंग
जलालुद्दीन मुहम्मद अकबर, ज्याला अकबर अगुंग असेही म्हटले जाते, तो हुमायूनचा मुलगा होता जो 1556 ते 1605 पर्यंत मुघल साम्राज्याचा शासक होता. जरी तो सिंहासनावर आला तेव्हा केवळ 13 वर्षांचा असताना त्याला मुगल साम्राज्याचे सर्वोच्च व महान शासक मानले जात असे. आपल्या कारकीर्दीत, त्यांनी शेर शाहपासून प्रथम पैनग्स लढाईमधील हिंदू शासक हेमूला पराभूत करण्याबरोबरच, शेरशायच्या धमक्या नष्ट केल्या आहेत. त्याव्यतिरिक्त त्यांनी राजपूत राजकुमारीशी लग्न करून राजपूत यांच्या शक्तिशाली शाही चुलत भावाचे लक्ष वेधून घेतले. तथापि, अकबरचा सर्वात स्मरणीय योगदान भारतात कला आणि धर्म आहे. अकबर-नामा व आयएन-ए-अकबरी यासह अनेक साहित्यिक लेखन त्यांनी सुरू केले आणि मुगल साम्राज्याचे संकलन ठेवण्यासाठी त्यांना जगभरातून विविध कलांचे संकलन केले. उल्लेख नाही, अकबरने पाच महिनेसह प्रभावी इमारतींचे बांधकाम करण्याचे आदेश दिले आहेत.
