हून मध्य आशियातील भटक्या जमाती आहेत जो चौथ्या आणि पाचव्या शतकातील युरोपमध्ये वास्तव्य करून राहिला. ते विविध जाती, तुर्की, टंगस, मंगोल आणि फिनो-युग्रेक यांच्यासारखे बनले आहेत. ओस्ट्रोगोथ जमातीची 358 ए मध्ये हुन भेटली. आटिलाच्या नेतृत्वाखाली, त्यांनी 5 व्या शतकात हुन साम्राज्याची स्थापना केली. यावेळी अनेक राष्ट्रांना स्वत: हूनच्या उत्तराधिकारी म्हणून संबोधले जाते, बल्गेरिया आणि हंगेरीतील त्यांची वैभव.
