मोर्टार एक प्रकारचा लहान तोफ आहे ज्याचा वापर कमी वेगाने आणि बंद असलेल्या श्रेणीवर बुलेट्स शूट करण्यासाठी केला जातो. सामान्यत: नोजल असतो आणि तिची बॅरेल लांबी 15 पटी कॅलिबरपेक्षा कमी असते.
