Dalam biologi, tisu adipose / ædɨˌpoʊs / atau lemak badan atau hanya lemak adalah tisu penghubung yang longgar yang kebanyakannya terdiri daripada adiposit. Selain adipocytes, tisu adipose mengandungi sel-sel pembuluh vaskular stromal (SVF) termasuk preadiposit, fibroblas, sel-sel endothelial vaskular dan pelbagai sel imun (iaitu macrophages tisu adiposa (ATM)). Tisu adipose berasal dari preadiposit. Peranan utamanya ialah menyimpan tenaga dalam bentuk lipid, walaupun ia juga memudar dan memasuki badan. Jauh dari hormon yang tidak aktif, tisu adiposa telah, pada tahun-tahun kebelakangan, telah diiktiraf sebagai organ endokrin utama, kerana ia menghasilkan hormon seperti leptin, estrogen, resistin, dan TNFα sitokin. Selain itu, tisu adipose boleh menjejaskan sistem organ badan yang lain dan boleh mengakibatkan penyakit. Obesiti atau kelebihan berat badan pada manusia dan kebanyakan haiwan tidak bergantung pada berat badan, tetapi pada jumlah lemak badan-khusus, tisu adipose. Kedua-dua jenis tisu adiposa ialah tisu adipose putih (WAT) dan tisu adipose coklat (BAT). Pembentukan tisu adipose kelihatan dikawal sebahagiannya oleh gen adipose.
