Albite
Albite adalah mineral feldspar plagioklas. Ia adalah sodium endmember siri larutan pepejal plagioklas. Oleh itu ia mewakili plagioklas dengan kurang daripada 10% kandungan anorthite. Endbari albite murni mempunyai formula NaAlSi3O8. Ia adalah tektosilikat. Warnanya biasanya putih tulen, oleh itu namanya dari Latin albus. Ia adalah konstituen biasa dalam batu felsic. Albite Albite mengkristal dengan bentuk pinacoid triclinic. Graviti spesifiknya adalah kira-kira 2.62 dan ia mempunyai kekerasan Mohs 6 - 6.5. Albite sering berlaku sebagai pemisahan selari halus yang berselang-seli dengan microcline merah jambu dalam perthite sebagai akibat daripada pendinginan pada penyejukan. Ia berlaku di dalam granit dan massa pegmatit, dalam beberapa lapisan urat hidroterma dan merupakan sebahagian daripada fenomena metamorphis greenschist khas untuk batu-batu komposisi awal basaltik. Ia pertama kali dilaporkan pada tahun 1815 untuk berlaku di Finnbo, Falun, Dalarna, Sweden.
