Clover, atau trefoil, adalah genus kira-kira 300 spesies tumbuhan dalam famili kacang polong Fabaceae. Genus mempunyai pengedaran kosmopolitan; kepelbagaian tertinggi didapati di Hemisfera Utara yang sederhana, tetapi banyak spesies juga berlaku di Amerika Selatan dan Afrika, termasuk di dataran tinggi di gunung-gunung di kawasan tropika. Mereka adalah tumbuhan herba tahunan tahunan, dwitahunan atau jangka pendek yang kecil. Daunnya berbuih, dengan stipules adnate ke batang daun, dan kepala atau pancang padat bunga merah, ungu, putih, atau kuning kecil; buah-buahan kecil yang sedikit dibungkus dalam kelopak. Genera yang berkait rapat yang sering dipanggil clovers termasuk Melilotus dan Medicago. The "shamrock" ikonografi popular kadang-kadang dianggap sebagai semanggi muda. Nama saintifik berasal dari bahasa Latin tiga, "tiga", dan folium, "daun", yang dipanggil dari bentuk ciri daun, yang mempunyai tiga risalah; oleh itu trefoil nama yang popular.
