Autorotation
Autorotation adalah keadaan penerbangan di mana sistem pemutar utama helikopter atau pesawat serupa bertukar dengan tindakan udara yang bergerak melalui pemutar, seperti autogram, dan bukannya kuasa enjin memacu pemutar. Istilah autorotasi itu bermula pada tempoh pembangunan helikopter awal antara 1915 dan 1920, dan merujuk kepada pemutar rotor tanpa enjin. Dalam penerbangan berkuasa biasa, udara ditarik ke dalam sistem pemutar utama dari atas dan letih ke bawah, tetapi semasa autorotation, udara bergerak ke dalam sistem pemutar dari bawah sebagai helikopter turun.
