Calotype atau talbotype adalah proses fotografi awal yang diperkenalkan pada tahun 1841 oleh William Henry Fox Talbot, menggunakan kertas bersalut dengan iodida perak. Istilah calotype berasal dari bahasa Yunani καλός, "indah", dan τύπος, "kesan". Calotype or talbotype is an early photographic process introduced in 1841 by William Henry Fox Talbot, using paper coated with silver iodide. The term calotype comes from the Greek καλός, "beautiful", and τύπος, "impression".
