Canzone
Secara literal "lagu" dalam bahasa Itali, sebuah kanzone adalah lagu Itali atau Provençal atau ballad. Ia juga digunakan untuk menggambarkan sejenis lirik yang menyerupai madrigal. Kadang-kadang komposisi yang mudah dan songlike ditetapkan sebagai canzone, terutama jika bukan oleh orang Itali; Contoh yang baik ialah aria "Voi che sapete" dari Perkahwinan Mozart dari Figaro.
