Capsicum
Capsicum adalah sejenis tumbuhan berbunga di dalam keluarga Solanaceae malam-malam. Spesiesnya berasal dari Amerika, di mana mereka telah ditanam selama ribuan tahun. Pada zaman moden, ia ditanam di seluruh dunia, dan telah menjadi unsur utama dalam banyak masakan serantau. Selain digunakan sebagai rempah dan sayur-sayuran, spesies Capsicum juga didapati menggunakan ubat-ubatan. Buah tumbuhan Capsicum mempunyai pelbagai nama bergantung pada tempat dan jenis.
