Capsid
Satu kapsid adalah shell protein virus. Ia terdiri daripada beberapa subunit struktur oligomerik yang terbuat daripada protein yang dipanggil protomer. Subunit-sub-morfologi 3-dimensi yang dapat dilihat, yang mungkin atau mungkin tidak sesuai dengan protein individu, dipanggil capsomeres. Kapsid melampirkan bahan genetik virus.
