Coucal
Coucal adalah salah satu daripada 30 spesies burung dalam keluarga kuku. Kesemua mereka tergolong dalam Centropodinae subfamili dan genus Centropus. Tidak seperti banyak burung kakak dunia lama, coucals bukanlah parasit. Sebaliknya mereka mempunyai keanehan pembiakan mereka sendiri: semua ahli genus adalah pelbagai darjah peranan seks yang dibalikkan supaya lelaki yang lebih kecil menyediakan kebanyakan penjagaan ibu bapa. Sekurang-kurangnya satu spesies coucal, Black Coucal, adalah polandrous. Sesetengah spesies mempunyai lelaki yang melabur lebih banyak dalam inkubasi dan penjagaan ibu bapa. Bukti DNA terkini menunjukkan bahawa mereka harus dibesarkan untuk status keluarga, seperti Centropodidae.
