Krisis adalah apa-apa peristiwa yang, atau dijangka membawa kepada, keadaan tidak stabil dan berbahaya yang mempengaruhi individu, kumpulan, masyarakat, atau seluruh masyarakat. Krisis dianggap sebagai perubahan negatif dalam hal ehwal keselamatan, ekonomi, politik, masyarakat, atau alam sekitar, terutamanya apabila ia berlaku dengan tiba-tiba, dengan sedikit atau tidak ada amaran. Lebih longgar, istilah ini bermakna 'masa ujian' atau 'peristiwa kecemasan'.
