Derris adalah tumbuhan leguminous memanjat Asia Tenggara dan pulau-pulau Pasifik barat daya, termasuk New Guinea. Akarnya mengandung rotenone, racun serangga dan racun ikan yang kuat. Derris scandens di Hyderabad, India. Juga dikenali sebagai serbuk derris dan akar tuba, ia dahulu digunakan sebagai racun serangga organik yang digunakan untuk mengawal perosak pada tanaman seperti kacang polong.
