Dey adalah gelaran yang diberikan kepada pemerintah-pemerintah di Algiers dan Tripoli di bawah Empayar Uthmaniyyah dari tahun 1671 dan seterusnya. Dua puluh sembilan orang telah memegang jawatan dari penubuhan deilicate di Algeria sehingga penaklukan Perancis pada tahun 1830. Mereka dipilih oleh pemimpin awam, tentera, dan agama tempatan untuk memerintah kehidupan dan memerintah dengan autonomi yang tinggi dari sultan Uthmaniyyah . Alam dewan Alger dibahagikan kepada tiga wilayah, masing-masing ditadbir oleh sebuah bilah yang telah dilantiknya. Peraturan tentera Alger telah berakhir pada 5 Julai 1830, ketika Hussein Dey menyerah untuk menyerang pasukan Perancis. Dey terakhir Tripoli dibunuh oleh Ahmed Karamanli, yang mendirikan dinasti Karamanli yang dinamai tahun 1711.
