Enterobiasis
Jangkitan pinworm atau enterobiasis adalah penyakit parasit manusia dan salah satu jangkitan cacing parasit yang paling biasa di dunia maju. Ia disebabkan oleh jangkitan cacing parasit Enterobius vermicularis, biasanya dipanggil pinworm manusia. Jangkitan biasanya berlaku melalui pengambilan telur pinworm, sama ada melalui tangan yang terkontaminasi, makanan, atau kurang biasa, air. Gejala utama adalah gatal di kawasan dubur. Masa inkubasi dari menelan telur hingga penampilan pertama telur baru di sekeliling anus adalah 4 hingga 6 minggu. Pinworms biasanya dianggap sebagai kacau ganggu daripada penyakit serius. Rawatan adalah mudah dalam kes-kes yang tidak rumit, bagaimanapun, penghapusan parasit dari kumpulan keluarga atau institusi sering menimbulkan masalah besar-baik disebabkan oleh penawar yang tidak lengkap atau reinfeksi.
