Fructification
Fructification adalah bahagian generatif tumbuhan. Kadang-kadang ia digunakan secara lebih luas untuk bahagian generik gymnosperms, pakis, horsetails, dan lycophytes, walaupun mereka tidak menghasilkan buah atau bunga. Oleh kerana karya Andrea Caesalpino, watak-watak pembuahan telah digunakan secara meluas sebagai asas bagi klasifikasi saintifik tumbuhan. Pada masa itu, semua tumbuh-tumbuhan mempunyai bunga dan buah-buahan. Tidak sampai abad kesembilan belas bahawa perbezaan penting antara benih dan spora diiktiraf dan penggunaan istilah bunga dan buah adalah terhad kepada tumbuh-tumbuhan berbunga. Ahli taksonomi tumbuhan kemudian menggunakan pendekatan yang lebih seimbang dan memperkenalkan semula bahagian-bahagian tumbuhan tumbuhan sebagai asas untuk watak-watak pada tahap hierarki taksonomi.
