Satu generalisasi (atau generalisasi) konsep adalah lanjutan konsep kepada kriteria yang kurang spesifik. Ia adalah unsur asas logik dan pemikiran manusia. Generalisasi merujuk kewujudan domain atau set elemen, serta satu atau lebih ciri umum yang dikongsi oleh elemen tersebut. Oleh itu, mereka adalah asas penting dari semua kesimpulan deduktif yang sah. Proses pengesahan diperlukan untuk menentukan sama ada perwujudan berlaku untuk setiap keadaan tertentu.
