Hamilcar Barca atau Barcas adalah seorang jeneral Carthaginian dan negarawan asal Cyrene, pemimpin keluarga Barcid, dan bapa Hannibal, Hasdrubal dan Mago. Beliau juga mertua kepada Hasdrubal Fair. Nama Hamilcar adalah nama umum bagi lelaki Carthaginian. Nama Brq bermaksud "petir" dalam bahasa Punic dan dengan demikian bersamaan dengan epithet atau cognomen Keraunos, biasa di kalangan banyak komander Yunani kontemporari. Perkataan itu tetap dalam bahasa Arab dan Ibrani dengan makna yang sama. Hamilcar memerintahkan tentera darat Carthaginian di Sicily dari 247 SM hingga 241 SM, semasa peringkat terakhir Perang Punic Pertama. Dia memelihara tenteranya secara utuh dan mengetuai perang gerila yang berjaya melawan orang Rom di Sicily. Hamilcar bersara ke Afrika selepas perjanjian damai pada 241 SM, berikutan kekalahan Carthage. Apabila Perang Mercenary meletus pada 240 SM, Hamilcar telah dipanggil semula untuk memerintah dan memainkan peranan penting dalam menyelesaikan konflik itu dengan jayanya. Hamilcar memerintahkan ekspedisi Carthaginian ke Sepanyol pada 237 SM, dan selama lapan tahun memperluas wilayah Carthage di Sepanyol sebelum mati dalam pertempuran pada 228 SM.
