Ignitron
Sebuah ignitron adalah sejenis tiub yang dipenuhi gas yang digunakan sebagai penyearah terkawal dan bertarikh dari tahun 1930-an. Diciptakan oleh Joseph Slepian ketika dipekerjakan oleh Westinghouse, Westinghouse adalah pembuat asal dan hak merek dagang yang dimilikinya dengan nama "Ignitron". Ignitron berkait rapat dengan injap arka-merkuri tetapi berbeza dengan cara arka itu dinyalakan. Mereka berfungsi sama dengan thyratrons; denyutan yang memicu ke elektrod ignitor menjadikan "on" peranti, yang membolehkan arus tinggi mengalir antara katod dan anoda elektrod.
