Nangka adalah spesies pokok dalam genus Artocarpus keluarga mulberi. Ia berasal dari bahagian Asia Selatan dan Tenggara, dan dipercayai berasal dari hutan hujan barat daya India, di Kerala sekarang, pantai Karnataka dan Maharashtra. Buah nangka juga terdapat di seluruh Afrika, serta di seluruh Brazil dan di negara Caribbean seperti Jamaica. Buah nangka adalah buah negara Bangladesh.
