Badan Ketone adalah tiga biokimia larut air yang dihasilkan oleh hati dari asid lemak semasa tempoh pengambilan makanan rendah atau sekatan karbohidrat untuk sel-sel badan untuk digunakan sebagai tenaga dan bukannya glukosa. Ketiga badan ketone endogen adalah aseton, asid acetoasetik, dan asid beta-hidroksibutrik.
