Khalsa adalah badan kolektif semua Sikh yang dimulakan diwakili oleh lima orang yang dicintai dan boleh dipanggil Guru Panth, perwujudan Guru dan Guru terakhir / pemimpin Sikh. Perkataan Khalsa diterjemahkan kepada "Berdaulat / Percuma". Satu lagi tafsirannya ialah "Tulen / Tulen." Khalsa telah dirasmikan pada 30 Mac, 1699, oleh Guru Gobind Singh, Guru Sikh kesepuluh. Sejak itu kepimpinan Sikh dipindahkan ke Khalsa dengan yang diberikan gelaran "Guru Panth" dan kepemimpinan rohani diserahkan kepada Guru Granth Sahib dengan Khalsa yang bertanggungjawab atas semua kuasa eksekutif, tentera dan sivil dalam masyarakat Sikh Khalsa disebut juga bangsa Sikh. Khalsa dapat dikenal pasti dengan diberikan Lima Ks dan gelaran Singh dan Kaur yang diperoleh setelah murid dibaptis ke dalam perintah Khalsa.
