Romanisasi atau Latinisasi dalam makna sejarah dan budaya kedua-dua istilah-menunjukkan proses-proses sejarah yang berbeza, seperti akulturasi, integrasi dan asimilasi penduduk baru yang diperbadankan dan periferal oleh Republik Rom dan Empayar Rom yang kemudian.
