Macula retina
Makula atau makula lutea adalah tempat kuning yang sangat berpigmen berbentuk bujur berhampiran pusat retina mata manusia. Ia mempunyai garis pusat kira-kira 6 mm dan sering ditakrifkan secara histologi sebagai mempunyai dua atau lebih lapisan sel ganglion. Berhampiran pusatnya adalah fovea, lubang kecil yang mengandungi konsentrasi terbesar sel-sel kerucut di mata dan bertanggungjawab untuk pusat, penglihatan resolusi tinggi. Makula juga mengandungi parafovea dan perifovea.
