Mentorship adalah hubungan perkembangan peribadi di mana seseorang yang lebih berpengalaman atau lebih berpengetahuan membantu membimbing orang yang kurang berpengalaman atau kurang berpengetahuan. Mentoring di Eropah telah wujud sejak sekurang-kurangnya zaman Yunani Kuno. Sejak tahun 1970-an ia telah menyebar di Amerika Syarikat terutamanya dalam konteks latihan dan ia telah digambarkan sebagai "inovasi dalam pengurusan Amerika".
